IEC 60027為國際電工委員會的電氣技術用字母符號標準。分為以下幾個部份：
- IEC 60027-1: General 總則
- IEC 60027-2: Telecommunications and electronics 電信和電子學
- IEC 60027-3: Logarithmic and related quantities, and their units 對數量和單位
- IEC 60027-4: Symbols for quantities to be used for rotating electrical machines 旋轉電機用量值符號
- IEC 60027-6: Control technology 控制技術
- IEC 60027-7: Physiological quantities and units
二進制前綴
1999年新增的IEC 60027-2[1]定義了kilobit不可代表kibibit。
統一的ISO/IEC IEC 80000-13:2008標準取消並取代第3.8和3.9的IEC 60027-2:2005（二進制前綴倍數），唯一的改變是增加了明確的定義和一些數量。[2]
