上火，闽语称上热、粤语称热气，是大中华地区民间对一系列病症的笼统说法，包括眼睛红肿（充血）、咽喉肿痛（炎症）、大便干燥（缺水）等，也代指一些心理状态，如脾气暴躁等。中医认为民间所指的“上火”是人体阴阳失衡后出现的内热症，包括长痘、牙龈脓肿、口角糜烂等。中山大学学者曹雨在田野调查期间发现，中国大陆各地对上火的定义不一，上火这个概念普遍存在于汉族地区，部分于汉族杂居的少数民族也有这个概念，而新疆维吾尔族、西藏藏族普遍没有这个概念[1]。
