拉斯穆·巴多林

拉斯穆·巴多林（Rasmus Bartholin，/bɑːrˈtoʊlɪn, ˈbɑːrtəlɪn/；1625年8月13日—1698年11月4日）是丹麦的科学家及物理学家。他在欧洲旅行长达十年之久。他是哥本哈根大学的教授，一开始研究地质学，后来研究医学。他是托马斯·巴托林的弟弟。

拉斯穆·巴多林在1669年发现了光束通过冰洲石（方解石）时会出现双折射现象^[1]，当时他发表了一篇论文，针对此现象有精确的描述。不过当时科学界对光的物理特性还没有充分了解，他也无法关解释此现象。一直要到1801年托马斯·杨提出光的波动理论后，才能说明此现象。
