湿化学一般是指是液态下进行的化学,在理论化学计算化学问世之前,大部分化学领域的发现都是以湿化学为主,因此也称为古典化学

器材

传统上湿化学会使用实验室的一些玻璃器材,例如烧杯烧瓶,并且排除一些使用仪器的量化化学分析,许多高中及大学的化学实验会教授湿化学的实验方法。

历史

理论化学计算化学问世之前,大部分化学领域的发现都是以湿化学为主。现今的品质控制要求要进行大量的湿化学实验,因此许多方法都已变成自动化及电脑化的分析。

用途

湿化学的技巧可以用在质化化学分析的量测中,例如颜色的变化(色度学),但主要仍用在量化的化学分析中,例如重量分析法滴定等。湿化学会用在有关以下特性的测量:
