孟加拉国电视台

孟加拉国电视台（国营）（孟加拉语： বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশন）于1964年成立，简称BTV，直属中央政府领导。该电视台在达卡和吉大港有二个站点，在全国有11个转播站，还设有2个地面卫星转播站。除新闻节目外，孟加拉国电视台还播放一些外国故事片或连续剧及儿童、教育节目。此外还有ATN、Channel-I、N-tv等私营电视台。共有约2万台电视机从17个中继站收看节目。[1]在90年代中期，孟加拉国电视台开始播放BBC和CNN的新闻节目。2004年，孟加拉国电视台通过其基于卫星的分支开始向全世界播放其姊妹频道BTV World。
孟加拉国电视台的许多节目都成功获奖，但它依旧经常被批评为政府的宣传工具，此外许多孟加拉国电视台的电视节目缺乏质量。[2]
