村田幸子

村田幸子（日語：村田 幸子／むらた さちこ；英語：Sachiko Murata；1943年—）是日本的比較哲學和神秘主義研究家^[1]，石溪大學宗教和亞洲研究教授。^[2][3]她於2011年獲頒古根海姆獎。^[4]

生平

村田幸子在千葉大學學習家庭法畢業後，在東京的一家律師事務所工作了一年，此後入學伊朗德黑蘭大學。她是第一位在德黑蘭大學學習伊斯蘭教法學的女性，也是第一位非穆斯林。1971年，她獲得了波斯文學博士，後又轉到神學系進行研究。

1979年，在她獲得了伊斯蘭教法學的博士學位不久後，伊斯蘭革命爆發在即，村田幸子與丈夫威廉·柴提克不得不趕在革命爆發前離開了伊朗。

她在離開伊朗後，在紐約州石溪的石溪大學任職，並在那裡教授伊斯蘭教、儒教、道教和佛教。^[5]
