歷史

創立於1830年。陳列品包括岩石、礦石、植物、動物標本、火箭和人造衛星模型以及醫學、電學和其他學科的題材。查爾斯·海登天文館（Charles Hayden Planetarium）就設在博物館的場地上。還有一個藏書豐富的科學圖書館。出版物有一種每月短訊。
