王富文

王富文 (英語：Nicholas Charles Theodore Tapp, 1952年11月5日—2015年10月10日)，英國人類學家，苗學研究專家。中文名王富文。

生平

王富文1952年11月5日出生在英格蘭，1972年在劍橋大學攻讀英國文學學士，1978年在倫敦大學攻讀東南亞研究碩士，1979年在倫敦大學亞非學院繼續攻讀研習社會人類學博士。1985年畢業後赴香港中文大學擔任人類學講師，與費孝通是同事。1992年回到英國在愛丁堡大學擔任人類學講師，1997年在英國擔任海外發展管理林業項目組長。2000年赴澳大利亞國立大學擔任講師，教授，直到被評為終身榮譽教授。2010年來到上海華東師範大學擔任人類學研究所所長，社會系主任。

2015年10月10日因淋巴癌醫治無效，在上海華山醫院逝世，享年63歲。^[1]
