福里曼·威利斯·克勞夫茲

福里曼·威利斯·克勞夫茲（英語：Freeman Wills Crofts，1879年6月1日—1957年4月11日）是愛爾蘭的一名推理作家，他於1920年推出的《桶子》，同年謀殺天后阿嘉莎·克莉絲蒂推出《史岱爾莊謀殺案》，兩人因此被稱為推理小說黃金時期的推手。

生平簡介

福里曼·威利斯·克勞夫茲出生於愛爾蘭的一個小農場，父親是隨軍的外科醫生，在克勞夫茲出世前就已經逝世，母親後來與一位牧師再婚。克勞夫茲17歲開始接觸鐵路工程，1900年成為了地區的工程師，克勞夫茲的工程師身分一直至1929年。克勞夫茲的寫作生涯始於1919年，他因為大病被逼放下鐵路工程的工作，這段時期寫了他的第一本小說，他於1920年發表了《桶子》，《桶子》出版後旋即獲得空前暢銷，此後幾乎每年克勞夫茲都寫一本小說，另加一些短篇小說和戲劇。
