2012年NBA選秀（2012 NBA draft）於2012年6月28日在紐澤西州紐瓦克普天壽中心舉行。本次選秀於東區夏令時晚間7：00（2300 UTC）開始，由ESPN電視台在全美播出。在這次選秀中，國家籃球協會各隊輪流從業餘美國大學籃球球員和其他符合選秀資格（含國際球員）的球員中挑選新秀。這一次選秀中，首次出現選秀前兩名來自同一學校的情況（安東尼·戴維斯和Michael Kidd-Gilchrist均來自肯塔基大學校隊）。^[1]這一次選秀還因在2輪選秀中出現6名來自同一學校（肯塔基大學）的新秀而創造了記錄，同時選秀前三甲都是來自Southeastern Conference的大學一年級新生。在所有選秀球員里，共有30名前鋒、21名後衛和9名中鋒。

2012年NBA選秀也是布魯克林籃網更名後的首次亮相。同時它還是紐奧良黃蜂參加的最後一次選秀。在2012-13賽季之後，球隊更名為紐奧良鵜鶘。更名後的紐奧良鵜鶘在2013年NBA選秀中首次亮相。

選秀抽籤

選秀的前14個簽位歸屬於未入圍2012年NBA季後賽的球隊，而具體順序需由抽籤決定。抽籤會決定獲得選秀中頭三個簽位的球隊。首輪餘下的選秀權和次輪選秀權都會根據前一賽季的勝負記錄從弱到強逆序分配。

抽籤儀式於2012年5月30日在紐約市的迪士尼/ABC時代廣場錄影棚舉行。^[2]紐奧良黃蜂在13.7%的勝率下贏得了狀元簽。由於當時黃蜂由聯盟所有，因此使得人們一直對於抽籤過程抱有陰謀論的態度。^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]戰績最差且擁有最大勝率的夏洛特山貓最終獲得了第二順位簽。
