William Jonathan Drayton Jr. (born March 16, 1959),[1] known by his stage name Flavor Flav (/ˈfleɪvər ˌfleɪv/, FLAY-vər FLAYV), is an American DJ, rapper, and hype man. Known for his yells of "Yeah, boyeeeeee!" when performing,[2][3] he is a founding member, alongside Chuck D, of Public Enemy, a rap group which has earned six Grammy Award nominations,[4] and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.[5]
