Mart Helme ([ˈmɑrt ˈhelme], born 31 October 1949[1]) is an Estonian politician, diplomat and musician who served as the Minister of the Interior from 2019 to 2020.[2] He was the long time chairman of the national conservative Conservative People's Party of Estonia (EKRE) from 13 April 2013 to 4 July 2020 when he was succeeded by his son Martin Helme.[3]
