Paul Edward Johnson Jr. (born July 6, 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona) is an American politician from the state of Arizona. Johnson was the mayor of Phoenix from 1990 to 1994. Johnson grew up in Sunnyslope, an urban poverty pocket inside of Phoenix. Sunnyslope was a poverty pocket designated a slum and blight area for federal funds.
