The Village Under the Sky (German: Das Dorf unterm Himmel) is a 1953 West German drama film directed by Richard Häussler and starring Inge Egger, Robert Freitag and Renate Mannhardt.[1] [2] It was made at the Bavaria Studios in Munich and on location at Ötztal in the Alps. The film's sets were designed by the art director Robert Herlth. It was based on the short story Der Januck by Rolf Olsen.[3]
