Yakhroma

Yakhroma (Roushie: Я́хрома) is a toun in Dmitrovsky Destrict o Moscow Oblast, Roushie, locatit on the Yakhroma River, 55 kilometer (34 mi) north o Moscow. Population: 13,361 (2002 Census);[4] 17,499 (1989 Census).[5]

Yakhroma wis foondit in 1841 as a dounset servicin a local cloth factory on the Yakroma River. In 1901, Yakhroma railwey station (Moscow (Savyolovsky) - Kimry (Savyolovo) line) wis biggit near the dounset, which later adoptit the same name. It wis grantit toun status in 1940.
