Al-Rahman Legion
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Al-Rahman Legion is a Syrian militant group that was active in the countryside around Damascus. The group was supported by Qatar due to the group controlling Jobar.[21] The group has been called a non-Salafi Islamist group.[22] The group's leader is Abdul al-Nasr Shamir, a former soldier in the Syrian Arab Army but defected in 2012.[23][24]
