መሐሌ

መሐሌ ከሃብሃብ ተክል (Citrullus lanatus) የሚመጣው ፍራፍሬ አይነት ነው። ይህ ፍሬ ደግሞ ሃብሃብ ወይም ከርቡሽ ይባላል። ባብዛኞቹ የውስጡ ሥጋ ቀይና ጣፋጭ ነው፣ አንዳንዱም የተለየ ቀለም ሥጋ በውስጡ አለው።
ከደቡባዊ አፍሪካ የተገኘው ሌላው የበጢሕ አይነት የትርንጎ ዱባ (Citrullus caffer) ሲሆን ከዚሁ የወጣው ነጭ ፍሬ ብዙ ጊዜ እንደ ናሚብኛ «ፃማ» ተብሏል፤ እንዲሁም ተጨማሪ ዝርያ የናሚብ ፃማ (C. ecirrhosus) አለ። እነዚያ «ጻማ» ፍሬዎች ከመሐሌ አብልጦ መራራ የሆነ ጻዕም አላቸው።
