የሚኖርበት የህዝብ ቁጥር በ1993 ዓ.ም. ቆጠራ 14,847 ሲሆን፣ በ1997 ዓ.ም. 16,570 ሆኖ ተገመተ። ከተማው 15°18′ ሰሜን ኬክሮስ እና 61°23′ ምዕራብ ኬንትሮስ ላይ ተቀምጦ ይገኛል።
