Biografía

Provenía del vodevil, y de neña acompañó al so padre, payasu d'oficiu, nuna xira europea del so circu "Barnum y Bailey".

El mundu del circu averar más al mundu del espectáculu y vodevil, faciendo'l so debú teatral en Londres a los 18 años y convirtiéndose na reina de Broadway na ventena. El so primer debú cinematográficu foi Peggy(1916). Dos años enantes fugárase col productor y empresariu Florenz Ziegfield, col que se casó n'Hoboken (New Jersey). Tres la muerte del so home convirtióse nuna de les actrices de repartu más solicitaes collaborando en distintes películes.

Billie Burke morrió en Los Angeles por causes naturales a la edá de 85 años, en 1970.
