Douglas Fairbanks (23 de mayu de 1883, Denver – 12 d'avientu de 1939, Santa Monica) foi un actor, guionista, direutor y productor d'Estaos Xuníos que destacó en películes d'aición de la era del cine mudu.

Biografía

Ente les películes poles cualos llogró ésitu, figuren The Mark of Zorro (The Mark of Zorro, 1920), D'Artagnan (The Three Musqueteers, 1921), dambes de Fred Niblo, Robin Hood (Robin Hood, 1922), d'Allan Dwan, The Thief of Bagdad (The Thief of Bagdag, 1924), de Raoul Walsh, y The Black Pirate (The Black Pirate, 1926), d'Albert Parker.

En 1918 rexuntó a un ensame en plenu Nueva York xunto a Chaplin pa promover la venta de bonos de guerra pa la Primer Guerra Mundial.[6]

Tuvo casáu cola actriz Mary Pickford, cola que fundó en 1919, xunto con Charles Chaplin y D.W. Griffith, United Artists.

Consideráu como «el rei de Hollywood», foi'l primer presentador de los Premiu Óscar nel añu 1929. Foi'l padre del actor Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. y amigu y sociu de Charles Chaplin hasta la so muerte en 1939.
