Herbert Anderson

Herbert Anderson (30 de marzu de 1917, Oakland – 11 de xunu de 1994, Palm Springs) foi un actor de televisión, actor de cine, actor de teatru y actor d'Estaos Xuníos. Ye conocíu pol so papel de Henry Mitchell, el padre, na sitcom televisiva de la CBS Dennis The Menace,^[3] serie basada na tira de prensa del mesmu nome de Hank Ketcham.

Biografía

Nacíu n'Oakland, California, tres dellos papeles menores en películes producíes por Warner Bros., Anderson consiguió la so gran oportunidá nel filme de 1941 Navy Blues, protagonizáu por Martha Raye y Ann Sheridan, cinta a la que darréu siguieron The Body Disappears y The Male Animal, nes cualos actuó con Henry Fonda y Olivia de Havilland. Otres de les sos películes más destacaes son Battleground, Give My Regards to Broadway, Escuse My Dust, Island in the Sky, The Benny Goodman Story, Kelly and Me, Joe Butterfly, My Man Godfrey, I Bury the Living, Sunrise at Campobello, Hold On! y Rascal.

Anderson foi tamién actor teatral, con un trabayu considerable nel circuitu de Broadway, participando, ente otres pieces, en The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, na cual interpretó'l papel de Dr. Bird. Foi l'únicu intérprete de la obra teatral que tamién actuó na version cinematográfica, The Caine Mutiny, protagonizada por Humphrey Bogart.

Sicasí, Anderson ye más conocíu poles sos actuaciones televisives.
