John Ronald Reuel Tolkien

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (3 de xineru de 1892, Bloemfontein – 2 de setiembre de 1973, Bournemouth) foi un filólogu y escritor de fantasía épica. Foi profesor d'anglosaxón na Universidá d'Oxford ente 1925 y 1945, y profesor de llingua y lliteratura ente 1945 y 1959. Dotramiente ye l'autor d'obres como El Hobbit (The Hobbit), El Señor de los Aniellos (1954-55) y The Silmarillion (asoleyada póstumamente en 1977 pol so tercer fíu, Christopher Tolkien), y nel que se narra la mitoloxía que concibiera pa una etapa antigua na historia d'Arda.
