Richard Pankhurst

Richard Pankhurst (3 d'avientu de 1927, Woodford Green ^(en)  – 16 de febreru de 2017, Adís Abeba) foi un historiador y economista británicu, especializáu nel estudiu d'Etiopía.

Biografía

Nacíu en 1927 en Londres, foi doctor n'historia de la economía pola London School of Economics y profesor de la Universidá Haile Selassie I.^[8]

Foi autor de diverses obres sobre la historia y la economía etíopes, ente les que s'atopen títulos como An Introduction to the Economic History of Ethiopia from early times to 1800 (1961),^[9] State and Land in Ethiopian History (1966), na qu'alredor de dos terceres partes del llibru tán dedicaes a la Etiopía contemporánea,^[10] Economic History of Ethiopia, 1800–1935 (1968),^[11][12] History of Ethiopian Towns from the Middle Ages to the Early Nineteenth Century (1982)^[13][14] o The Ethiopian Borderlands: Essays in Regional History from Ancient Times to the End of the 18th Century (1997),^[15] ente otres.

Fíu de la sufraxista, activista antifascista y anticolonialista Sylvia Pankhurst, escribió una biografía de la so madre titulada Sylvia Pankhurst, Counsel for Ethiopia (2003).^[16]
