Vida profesional

Wood trabayó para Cecil B. De Mille como ayudante en 1915. Siendo direutor en 1919, Wood trabayó mientres la década de 1920 dirixendo a delles de les grandes estrelles de la Paramount Pictures, como Gloria Swanson o Wallace Reid.

Empezó a trabayar para Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer en 1927, trabayando con Marion Davies, Clark Gable y Jimmy Durante.^[5] Nos años 1940, Wood dirixó a Ginger Rogers na premiada con un Óscar, Kitty Foyle (1940). La fía de Wood foi una actriz de películes y televisión: K. T. Stevens, quien empezó la so carrera nuna película del so padre, Peck's Bad Boy.

Wood morrió d'un ataque al corazón, en Hollywood, a la edá de 66. La so tumba alcuéntrase en Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
