Biografía

Debutó en cine en 1987 cola película Ironweed. Ente los sos personaxes más conocíos tán el del asesín en serie Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb na clásica cinta ganadora del Óscar The Silence of the Lambs (película) (1991) y el del Sarxentu Tanner en The Fast and the Furious (2001).

En televisión ye reconocíu pol papel del Capitán Leland Stottlemeyer na serie de televisión detectivesca Monk, al cual interpretó mientres 8 temporaes (2002-2009).

Na serie The Bridge, interpreto al teniente Hank Wade.(2013-2014)
