Charles Kingsley

Charles Kingsley (12. června 1819, Holne, hrabství Devon, Anglie – 23. ledna 1875, Eversley, hrabství Hampshire, Anglie) byl anglikánský kněz, univerzitní profesor, historik a spisovatel. Byl přítelem Charlese Darwina.

Studoval na King's College London a univerzitě v Cambridge. V roce 1859 byl ustanoven kaplanem královny Viktorie. V následujícím roce byl jmenován profesorem moderní historie na cambridgeské univerzitě. V roce 1861 se stal soukromým učitelem prince z Walesu, budoucího krále Eduarda VII.

V letech 1870–1873 byl kanovníkem chesterské katedrály, poté kanovníkem Westminsterského opatství.
