Adriaan Valckenier (6 June 1695 ā 20 June 1751) was Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies from 1737 to 1741. Mainly remembered for his involvement in the 1740 Batavia massacre, Valckenier was arrested for his complicity in 1742. He died in prison in Batavia (present-day Jakarta) nearly a decade later.
