Christian Rosenkreuz (also spelled Rosenkreutz, Rosencreutz, Christiani RosencreĆ¼tz and Christian Rose Cross) is the legendary, possibly allegorical, founder of the Rosicrucian Order (Order of the Rose Cross).[4] He is presented in three manifestos that were published early in the 17th century. These were:

- Confessio Fraternitatis (published 1615 in Kassel, Germany)
- The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz (published 1616 in Strasbourg, France).
