The volcano is the largest complex of lava domes in Kamchatka, one of the largest in the world. The total volume of all its lava domes is 18 km3 (4.3 cu mi).[1][2] Its highest point is Mount Nepriyatnaya (Russian: Неприятная, lit. 'Unpleasant'), 1,079 m (3,540 ft).
The volcano is showing modern geothermal activity and, presumably, the growth of the central dome, Mount Nepriyatnaya, continues novadays.[1]
