Jezkazgan, or Zhezkazgan (Kazakh: Жезқазған, romanized: Jezqazğan (listenⓘ)) is a city and the administrative centre of Ulytau Region, Kazakhstan, on a reservoir of the Kara-Kengir River. Population: 86,227 (2009 Census results);[2] 90,001 (1999 Census results).[2] Its urban area includes the neighbouring mining town of Satpayev, for a total city population of 148,700.
