DescriptionAttack Squadron 145 (US Navy) insignia c1974.png | Insignia of the U.S. Navy Attack Squadron 145 (VA-145) "Swordsmen". Following the redesignation of the squadron from VA-702 to VA-145 on 4 February 1953, a new insignia was approved by United States Navy chief of Naval Operations (CNO) on 7 April 1954. Colours for the sword and lion insignia are: a background of black, yellow and blue with a red border; the scroll is outlined in red with a yellow background and black lettering; the sword is silver and blue with a blue hilt, a yellow and black handle outlined in black; the lightning bolts are yellow; the lion is black with white markings and a red tongue and claws. |
