DescriptionLudolf von Alvensleben in Bydgoszcz.jpg |
English: SS-Oberführer Ludolf von Alvensleben – leader of so-called "Selbstschutz Westpreussen" (paramilitary formation composed of members of the German minority in pre-war Poland which was created by Nazi-German authorities at occupied Polish Pomerania at September 1939). This photo was taken in front of the Alvensleben’s HQ at 8 Wyspiańskiego Street in Bydgoszcz.
During the second world war this photo was placed in so-called "Album of fame of Selbstschutz" (known also as "Alvensleben Album"). After the end of war this album was found and taken over by the Polish authorities. It is now in the archives of the Commission for the Investigation of Nazi Crimes in Poland.
