Ivor David Arbiter (31 December 1929 – 26 July 2005) was an English drum designer, manufacturer, instrument salesman, and entrepreneur.[1] In his early career, he was the owner and operator of a specialty drum shop in the West End of London.[2] Later, Arbiter founded or co-founded several instrument companies, including Arbiter–Western, Dallas–Arbiter, Hayman drums and CBS–Arbiter.[2] He is credited with designing the Beatles' original drop-t logo,[3] and bringing karaoke to the UK.[4]
