Joe Sloan is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the LSU Tigers.

In Sloan's college career he played quarterback for the East Carolina Pirates, where he completed his only pass attempt for five yards.[1]
Sloan got his first coaching job at South Florida where he was hired as an offensive quality control coach before in 2012 he became a graduate assistant for South Florida for one season.[2] In 2013, Sloan was hired by Louisiana Tech to coach the team's receivers.[3] In 2014, Sloan would be promoted to also be the team's recruiting coordinator.[4] In 2015, Louisiana Tech promoted Sloan to be their assistant head coach.[5] In 2020, Sloan was promoted by Louisiana Tech to be the team's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.[6][7] After two seasons as the Bulldogs offensive coordinator, Sloan was hired by LSU to coach the team's quarterbacks.[8][9] On January 23, 2024, Sloan was promoted to be LSU's offensive coordinator.[10][11]
