Oscar Walter McConkie Jr. (May 26, 1926 – November 2, 2020) was an American politician and attorney in Utah and leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He was the president of the Utah State Senate from 1965 to 1966, subsequently becoming the chairman of the law firm of Kirton McConkie.[1] McConkie authored several popular books on Latter-day Saint subjects.
