During his professional career, Pepe has played for Marítimo, Porto, Real Madrid, and Beşiktaş, with most individual and team success in the middle two clubs. With Real Madrid, he played 334 games, winning three La Liga titles, three UEFA Champions League titles and two Copa del Rey titles.[6] He has also won four Primeira Liga titles and three Taça de Portugal titles with Porto.
Born and raised in Brazil, Pepe opted to play for Portugal, and has earned 136 caps since his debut in 2007.
