In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Romero and the second or maternal family name is Sandrea.
Rafael Romero Sandrea (22 May 1938 – 15 August 2021)[1] was a Venezuelan track and field athlete, who competed in the sprint events.[1] He represented his native country in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1956.[2] Romero won two medals (gold and silver) at the 1963 Pan American Games in Brazil.
