South Whitehall Township borders Allentown to its east and is 59.3 miles (95.4 km) northwest of Philadelphia, and 94.5 miles (152.1 km) west of New York City.[4] The Lehigh Valley interchange of the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom are both located in the township.
