Three-part works that are considered components of a larger work also exist, such as the <a href="/en/Triptych" title="Triptych" class="wl">triptych</a> or the three-movement <a href="/en/Sonata" title="Sonata" class="wl">sonata</a>, but they are not commonly referred to with the term "trilogy".
