Hello there, I'm Holls77 and this is my user page. On this page you will learn about my likes and dislikes as well as my general opinion on certain topics and random facts about me.
Holls77 is a friendly person once you get to know her; however, at first she may be a little quiet until she has warmed up to you and is comfortable in her surroundings. She has a sense of humor but also knows when to be serious. She mainly will tell you what she thinks of something when asked unless it will lead to deeply offending someone when it is not necessary. It takes a good amount of things to occur before someone can make her angry; although she may be upset, she often won't share until she has reached a point where she can't take anymore. She often helps friends get over their troubles by getting their minds on something different. Out of her group of friends she considers herself to be the comedian. Usually she can read people pretty well, although she has been incorrect before. She enjoys both group events and one-on-ones with friends.
Holls77 has a wide variety of interests, from school subjects to animals and musical artists. As far as school goes, she is very interested in english, American Government, and chemistry. She has also taken an interested in psychology,as she enjoys learning more about people's minds and how to better understand them. From her recently found interest in America's government, an interest in politics has stemmed. Holls77 enjoyed watching the recent presidential campaign trails of both Barack Obama and John McCain; she listened to their promises and plans for the future of America and also took their Vice President choices into consideration.
Other than school subjects, Holls77 possesses interests in photography and film studies. These two strong interests, as well as her strength in english, play a deciding role in her
choice of major in college. She enjoys scrapbooking in her spare time and often posts her photographs of roller coasters she has ridden on websites pertaining to amusement parks. She has also posted short stories and poetry on art-based websites. Holls77 regularly listens to music and comes up with a music video idea, then compares it to that of the existing music video (if there is one).
Holls77 is a straight-A student and has been for the vast majority of her school career. She has taken several honors courses in high school, as well as a couple in middle school, and hopes to attend the University of North Carolina in Wilmington, North Carolina. She has chosen to major in either journalism or film studies.
Family
Holls77 has a small family due that she keeps in touch with due the fact that many relatives have moved away, greatly changed their family lives, or have passed away. The family that she does associate with are very close to her. She lives with mother and her father and has no siblings. Several of her grandparents have passed away in the years past due to diseases such as cancer and Rheumatic fever; so naturally she supports advances in the medical field.
Friends
Holls77 has many friends in real life as well as online. Although she and her friends can have their differences, for the most part, arguments are resolved. Holls77 has had to learn to be less trusting than she used to be due to past friends taking advantage of her. Some of her best friends are those that no longer attend school with her. She loves to spend time with her friends no matter if they're taking a trip or just playing video games at someone's house. No matter if her friends are a mile up the road or 700 miles away they are all important to her and she hopes they value her as well.
Crushes and Dating
Through the years Holls77 has had her fair share of crushes, but they pretty much have had one quality in common with each other: they were all friends with her at some point. Holls77 believes that although you can be initially attracted to someone, it is better to become their friend first and get to know the real them before jumping into a relationship. She is attracted to guys with a decent sense of humor but if she needs to talk about something serious they can sit down and have a normal conversation without trying to change the topic or make jokes. She also likes when the guy has some/most of the same values as she does. Generally, she sticks to guys with dark hair (either brown or black) and that are little taller than her height of 5'8. Although looks don't make all the difference, that's what will catch her eye unless a guy comes up to her and leaves a lasting impression on her.
She has had a total of one boyfriends and is in no rush to jump back into the committed relationship world. She remains friends with her past crushes because often there is no big argument, things just get a little too complicated.
Enemies
Of course there are some individuals that Holls77 does not care to be around but, when she has to, she tolerates them. Holls77 is one to say negative things about someone only if they provoke her first. She does not believe in holding grudges, although sometimes she does remember negative events that occurred that have not been yet resolved.
When it comes to religion, Holls77 firmly believes in Jesus Christ. Although she does not belong to a certain denomination, she is a Christian. Having said this: she is against taking the words 'Under God' out of the Pledge of Allegiance and she does not support homosexuality. On the other hand, she does not discriminate against gays and lesbians. She believes that you can disagree with something without being unprofessional about it. Although she is not homosexual, she does not treat people who are with hatred and dislike. Holls77 (even though she can not vote yet) does not consider herself to be a Republican nor a Democrat. She listens to what both candidates have to say and makes her decision based on who she thinks will a bigger benefit the country, not which political party they belong to. She is pro-life when it comes to abortion unless the following circumstances occur: the mother's or/and the baby's life/lives is/are at risk, and if the mother was raped (raped as in forced by someone, not being irresponsible by getting drunk, having sex ,and then blaming the alcohol or the other person). Holls77 agrees with capital punishment in the event of murder that was not an act of self-defense. She is not racist; she knows there are bad people in every race, gender, background, etc. She has several friends that are of different races and ethic groups and she does not think that a person's actions should be based on their skin color and vice versa. She knows that a person can be good or bad due to the choices they make in life, not where they come from, what race they are, what their parents were like, etc. She believes that a person is only better than another based on how good of a person they've proven to be in life.
