I am more interested in Russian animation especially Wizart currently. However, as I am only a beginner with only 1 month to editing, if I make a mistake please correct me. All Russian language users are welcome to translate the English version to the Russian version.
I have found a flaw in Memento Archive
Disclaimer These links are not to be clicked. First and foremost, I do not know how to remove the hyperlinks of these website I am about to write. I do not wish to link them, however, since I can't find a visual editor, I do not know how to unlink the website in source code. These websites are all legitimate. They are all archive links.
About 1/3 of the sites who have https license is converted to http license once the archive shows up. This defeats the purpose of security website, and also the benefits of https in general. For ex, if you memento this page https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/snow-queen-3-chinese-russian-813809
the archive will be https://web.archive.org/web/20171112185226/http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/snow-queen-3-chinese-russian-813809
Notice, how the s is omitted. However, this won't happen in https://archive.org/
Solution
1)Fast method- append 's' to http for the archive link
ex - https://web.archive.org/web/20171112185226/http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/snow-queen-3-chinese-russian-813809 will become https://web.archive.org/web/20171112185226/https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/snow-queen-3-chinese-russian-813809
This should work 100% of times, except for certain cases
For example, I mementoed this page - https://tass.ru/kultura/1682427
However, what the citation gave me was this - https://web.archive.org/web/20150315072459/http://tass.ru:80/kultura/1682427
Notice, how there is an extra tass.ru:80? Now if you add an http's' here it won't load because there is a 404, so if anyone is doing this method watch out for these exceptions.
A quick way to find it is this exception is if the url changes other than the http
2)Fastidious, detailed, careful method
append 's' and see if the page loads
because there could be a 404
My conclusion and opinions - Memento is a good tool, however its ommition of the https license is its limitation for 1/3 of its use cases. Therefore I switched to Wayback Machine.

Interesting Observation I have found that while archiving links in archive.org or wayback machine, the domains of wikicollections, wikipedia-eventstream, wikipediaoutlinks(about 99% of the time) archive the links I have cited in wikipedia. This is helpful, because some of the links are never archived to begin with. So a good workflow for wikipedia will be to cite the pages, preferably https, and then wait for a month or after rating to archive it. --EnshrineSnowVista (talk) 21:43, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
