Legislative Assembly elections were held in Indian state of West Bengal in 1967 to elect 280 members to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly.[1] United Front led by Ajoy Mukherjee won majority of seats in the election, and formed the first non-Congress government of the state.[2]

Post-Poll Alliance
United Front led by Ajoy Mukherjee formed the Government. United Front was the combination of People's United Left Front, an electoral combination of CPI, the Bangla Congress, AIFB and BPI[3] with United Left Front, comprising CPI(M), SSP, SUCI(C), MFB, RCPI, WPI and the RSP.[3]
