• January 1 – Azerbaijan accepted status of non-permanent member of the Security Council.^[1][2]

• March 23 - Maine adopted a resolution on Khojaly Massacre.^[3]

• February 1 - The Foreign Relations Committee of Senate of Pakistan adopted a resolution on the recognition of Khojaly Massacre^[4]

• February 24 - State of Georgia adopted a Resolution 1594 recognizing the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly Massacre ^[5]

• April 2–4 - The Second Ordinary Session of Euronest Parliamentary Assembly was organized in Baku.^[6]
