The 2018 Massachusetts Senate election took place on November 6, 2018 to elect members of the Massachusetts Senate. Massachusetts voters elected all 40 members of the State Senate to serve two-year terms in the Massachusetts General Court. The election coincided with United States national elections and Massachusetts state elections, including U.S. Senate, U.S. House, U.S. President, and Massachusetts House.

Qualifications

The following are the qualifications to be elected to the Massachusetts Senate:[2]

  • Be a registered voter in Massachusetts
  • Be an inhabitant of Massachusetts for five years
  • Be a resident of the district when elected
  • Receive at least 300 signatures on nomination papers
