The tournament was cancelled on 21 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.^[2] IIHF All-Time Teams were selected on the 100-year anniversary of the Ice Hockey World Championships, from the countries that would have participated at the 2020 IIHF World Championship.^[3][4]
