The 2022–23 Atlanta Hawks season was the 74th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and 55th in Atlanta. On February 21, 2023, the Hawks fired Nate McMillan, who spent three seasons with the team. Joe Prunty was named the interim head coach until Quin Snyder was hired.[1][2]

The team clinched the seventh seed in the 2023 NBA playoffs on April 11, 2023, in the NBA play-in tournament, following a win over the Miami Heat, who finished 7th in the regular season. However, they lost in the First Round to the Boston Celtics[3] in six games.

As of 2024, this season marked the last time the Hawks made the playoffs.
