In January 2023, the Kraken became the first team in NHL history to win all seven games of a road trip.^[2] On April 6, the Kraken clinched a playoff berth for the first time in franchise history after a win over the Arizona Coyotes.^[3] On April 30, the Kraken won their inaugural playoff series in seven games, upsetting the defending champion Colorado Avalanche.^[4] In the Second Round, the Kraken lost to the Dallas Stars in seven games, dropping 3 of the last 4 games of the series after taking a 2-1 lead.^[5]
