The 2023–24 Dallas Stars season was the 57th season (56th season of play) for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on June 5, 1967, and the 31st season since the franchise relocated from Minnesota prior to the start of the 1993–94 season.
On March 28, 2024, the Stars clinched a playoff berth for the third straight season and fifth in the last six seasons after a 3–1 win over the Vancouver Canucks.[2]
On April 13, 2024, the Stars clinched the Central Division title with a 3–1 win over the Seattle Kraken[3] and four days later, they clinched the best regular season record in the Western Conference, both of which for the first time since the 2015–16 season with a 2–1 shootout win over the St. Louis Blues.[4] In the playoffs, the Stars overcame a 2-0 series deficit and eliminated the defending Stanley Cup champions Vegas Golden Knights in seven games in the first round,[5] the Colorado Avalanche in six games in the second round, and lost to the Edmonton Oilers in six games in the Western Conference Final.
