Orbit

2025 GN1 has an orbit very similar to 2021 PH27, which has the shortest orbital period around the Sun (also 113 days). This similarity gave rise to a hypothesis, that 2025 GN1 is a pair asteroid of 2021 PH27. The two objects might have formed as fragments of a larger parent after a close encounter with Venus 11,000 years ago. 2025 GN1 is expected to fly close to Venus in 2,300 years, possibly even impacting the planet.[1]
