Ananda Publishers
Ananda Publishers (also known as *Ananda Publications*) is one of the leading publishing houses in the Bengali language. Established in **1957**, it has published books by eminent Bengali authors such as Sunil Gangopadhyay, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Satyajit Ray, Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, Samaresh Majumdar and others.[6][7] Over the decades, it has become one of the largest Bengali-language publishers in India.[8]
Famous series
Ananda Publishers is well known for publishing several popular Bengali fiction series:
- Byomkesh — detective stories by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.[9]
- Feluda — detective stories by Satyajit Ray, including Gangtokey Gondogol (1971), Bhuswargo Bhayankar (1987) and Royal Bengal Rahashya (1974).[10]
